We all love our ice cream, but having gone to San Jose, California last week, we just couldn't resist Ghirardelli in San Francisco. I had the World Famous Hot Fudge Sundae, with two scoops of Ghirardelli chocolate ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream, and a cherry.
I skipped on the chopped almonds but had a side of the warm caramel just to add a few more calories.
Hubby's daughter had the same as me, but her husband went for the Rocky Road Sundae. It consisted of rocky road, chocolate chip and chocolate ice cream smothered with creamy marshmallow topping and freshly homemade hot fudge, all surrounded by a halo of whipped cream, topped with chopped almonds, a cherry and a Ghirardelli Squares Milk Chocolate.
Hubby went without as they didn't have sugar free ice cream. He did have clam chowder later.
It couldn't have been a better time to go, than National Ice Cream Month. I got to try one of the best ice creams I have eaten.
